Avalon buys at Mill
Town Center
Avalon Development Co. has
bought 15.2 acres of industrial land at
Mill Town Center
for an undisclosed price. Two acres are expected to
be leased for commercial uses, while the remaining
13 acres are slated for an industrial condominium
complex.
The name of the project is Sugar Mill Center at Mill
Town.
"There is a significant need [from the] growing
construction industry for warehousing and
manufacturing space." said Managing Director
Christine Camp Friedman.
"We want to help those businesses own their own
space without the hassle of having to spend time
planning and constructing the spaces."
The industrial lands are among the last development
sites remaining in Mill Town, according to Friedman.
Initial plans include industrial condominiums offering
anywhere from 1,000 to 47,000 square feet of space,
along with parking.
Sales are expected to begin in the second quarter of
next year, with the first phase of units slated for
completion in early 2007.
