Jeanne Schultz promises small business focus at Chamber
The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii has appointed Jeanne
Schultz as its new business advocate.
"Because the vast majority of businesses in Hawaii
and the chamber membership are small business, her key
focus will be
small business," President Jim Tollefson said.
Schultz is a small business owner and strong leader in
management strategies, programs, teams and projects.
She is experienced
in working closely with federal and state agencies and
congressional and legislative committees.
"As a small business owner, I have taken an active
role with the chamber because I believe through collaboration
and
consensus we will make progress at the legislature," Schultz
said.
Avalon Development CEO Christine Camp Friedman, chairwoman
of the chamber, agrees. "Often times small businesses
focus
on the immediate result and fall into polarizing the
issues instead of following a carefully thought out and
structured approach
and end up dealing with a divided support base," she
said. "With clear focus, planning, and a leader
like Jeanne to complete our
team, the chamber will have a stronger voice to get results."
